The name Eckseption is derived from a complicated background where my fate seemed that of criminal and drug activities in a poverty stricken and homeless environment. Thanks to some amazing supporters and resources I was encouraged to make changes and sacrifices to let go of generational habits and be the best version of myself. I aspire to open my own community art studio one day called "ECKSEPTIONZ" to return this opportunity of perseverance and help others of all ages cultivate their creativity, find the spark that ignites their passion to create and utilize cognitive skills for all aspects of life. My boys are my main motivation and inspiration to make this dream come into fruition and to provide them the best life I can and mom I can be.

For so many years my husband has loved and emotionally supported me through life and is my muse in several artworks. Thanks to him I have been able to venture on this journey being a full-time student and artist. An artist’s success depends on their ability to concentrate on their talent and the passion that derives from it, and he fuels the fire for me.
