What Dreams May Come…

This immersive sculptural archway explores the fragile boundary between reality and the subconscious. Plaster casts of my face are suspended in tension within a webbed frame, embodying fragments of self and echoes of identity caught within the fragile balance of memory and dream. 

The base, a plaster wave embedded with dreamlike masks, grounds the piece in fluid motion, as if the figures are drifting on tides of thought. At the back, a dreamcatcher is pulled forward by a spider web, its intricate netting straining into the viewer’s space. Charms are woven throughout the web, shimmering like half-remembered visions or symbols carried from the dreamworld. 

What Dreams May Come becomes both a vessel and a passage: a portal shaped by vulnerability, repetition, and the desire to hold onto fleeting moments of the subconscious. Its duality is experienced through both light and darkness, reflecting on the ways we weave our inner worlds, catching both light and shadow in the web of thought.
